Several months later than planned, TLC Nottinghamshire finally held their Valentine’s lunch in the beautiful Carriage Hall, in Plumtree, Nottingham.
A full house celebrated the twice-postponed Valentine’s fundraiser with great food, company and of course chocolates and roses!
All guests were warmly welcomed by RW Bro Philip Marshall, ProvGM, and President of TLC Nottinghamshire. A special welcome went to the two tables representing the Byron Club for young masons who presented a cheque for £105, the proceeds from their summer barbecue.
Together an auction, raffle and generous donations from guests raised the magnificent sum of £3,000.
The lunch was also an opportunity to give heartfelt thanks to the retiring TLC President, Richard Gutteridge and also Barry Woodhead who stepped down from his six year service as Chairman of the charity.
Everyone had a lovely time. Especially the parents present who were able to relax whilst their children were entertained by magician Alex Michael. Alex enthralled them with his magic and blew their minds as well as balloons to produce hats and swords! Squeals of laughing children coupled with the buzz of conversation all added up to a fun afternoon.
Save the date! Valentine’s Day lunch 2022 will be held on Sunday 13 February
