An Adventurous Bear!

Mason the travelling bear is quite the adventurer….

He has visited every city in Europe strapped to the handlebars of a Harley Davidson motorbike, ran a half marathon in New York Central Park, been quad biking in Bulgaria, trekked through the baking heat of the Grand Canyon and taken part in many cycling challenges around the UK.

Taking Mason on his travels is Cheshire Freemason, Malcolm Cooke, who came up with the idea to take Mason around the world to raise money for Teddies for Loving Care as well as other charities including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the Injured Serviceman’s Charity BLESMA. Malcolm said:

It’s nice to think that much of the money Mason has raised goes towards sending his TLC bear cousins out to bring a little happiness to children attending A&E

Mason is often accompanied on his adventures by Cheshire Freemasons who wholeheartedly support the bear’s exploits. This included one trip when Mason travelled on the handlebars of a mountain bike for 230 miles along canal tow paths from Chester to the Freemason’s headquarters’ in London. On that occasion he and his Masonic chums raised an amazing £22,000 for charity.
